Day Three
Saturday 13th April Today we opened up just to principles for the first half of the day. We taught the Laban Theory of acting, to really understand the physical aspect of their characters, ensuring they become their role. We also worked on their solo/duets and provided feedback and advice where needed. Then, the second half of the rehearsal, we moved straight into group vocal rehearsals. Working on melodies and the all important harmonies that makes the production so very special. Great rehearsal peeps, thanks and keep up the practice. |

Day Two
Sunday 7th April Time for the dancers to have some fun and commence their choreography sessions! Mandy and Molly, our choreographers take the dancers through their steps, explain the vision and what to expect through the production. We begin filming choreography to allow the cast to go home and practice. Then, they can also refresh their learnings prior tor rehearsals - every little thing to help them be their best selves on stage! |

Day One
Saturday 6th April Cast and Crew met as a whole for the first time in this production. Sitting in our amazing rehearsal space, Riverbanks College Theatre. All cast were re-introduced to the crew, standards and expectations explained and then the handing out of their very own scripts. The cast read through the scripts, one cast at a time, singing and speaking along with the script. In these moments you get to see who stands out, who has practiced at home and who has not. Excitement was in the air, with short breaks and then commenced work on the opening number for the last 25mins. Cast went home happy and content, looking forward to choreography rehearsals tomorrow. You know it's Frozen when you feel the chill in the air! Oh no, that just the 17 degree weather we're experiencing. |

Auditions
Saturday 9th March and Sunday 10th March 2024 And we're off! Audition day number 1, the ensemble have started strong with some nerves a long the way. Each auditionees sing an ensemble song, "Let it Snow" and then some acting lines. Always good to see their happy faces and excitement of performing. Then we move into the dance section, where our Choreographer tests them out with some simple choreography for a chance to fit into our dancers for the show. |
