Light Up the Stage Jr - Performer Information
Please read below for important information about our upcoming production.
LIGHT UP THE STAGE JR
Auditions
Auditions will be held on 9th November at Riverbanks College in Angle Vale. There are no call-backs for this production. There is an Audition Fee of $10 per person which will be held as a deposit. If we are unable to offer you a role, you will receive a refund of the fee. If you are offered a role, the fee will be credited to your Production Fee. There is no refund if you choose to withdraw from the auditions, and there is no refund if we offer you a role and you turn it down.
Rehearsals
Saturday 17th to Sunday 25th January - intensive week - various times on Saturdays - after 1pm on Sundays - before 4pm on Weekdays - Riverbanks College in Angle Vale
Saturdays and Sundays from 31st January to 8th February - rehearsals - various times on Saturdays - after 1pm on Sundays - Riverbanks College in Angle Vale
Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th February - compulsory final rehearsals - times to be confirmed - (no absences will be approved on these dates) - Riverbanks College, Angle Vale
Tuesday 17th to Saturday 21st February - compulsory dress rehearsals & performances - times to be confirmed - some may be during business/school hours - (no absences will be approved on these dates) - Shedley Theatre in Elizabeth.
Please list any dates which you are unavailable in January/February 2026 on your audition application.
DANCERS - all choreography rehearsals will be held on Sundays and during the school holiday rehearsals. However, it is very important that you list your Saturday dance commitments on your audition application so we can work around them.
Production Fee
All performers will be required to pay a production fee of $345. This is due on acceptance of your place in the cast. It can also be paid in three instalments:
$155 on acceptance of your place in the cast
$95 by 31st December
$95 by 31st January
Families will receive a $50 reduction on each of their Productions Fees (only applies to family members living at the same address).
This production fee includes:
Performers will need to provide their own suitable footwear, underwear and some basic costume items. Exact requirements will be given to cast members during the rehearsals.
The Show
This will be a one-act production for performers aged 5-18 (School Years R-12). We will be performing at the Shedley Theatre in Elizabeth and there will be a minimum of 3 performances between 19th to 21st February 2026.
Performers in Yr11-12 are welcome to audition for both Heathers and Light Up the Stage Jr, but will only be cast in one or the other.

- Script hire
