Cast Diary
DAY ONE - READ THROUGH
7th November 2020 Our Cast meet as a whole for the first time, read through the script and singing along. Sometimes these sessions can be taxing, but everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was thoroughly enjoyable to see the talent in one room. |
MAKING FRIENDS
7th November 2020 Our cast have formed friendships throughout the process, this being for some one of many shows they have been apart of and for the rest - their first time! |
INTENSIVE WEEK
9th January - 17th January 2021
Our Cast begins their intensive week of rehearsals, great fun and learning each others talents. We also welcomed our newest cast member who is sure to upstage the orphans every time - Ginny the dog. Very well mannered and loves the attention she receives as 'Sandy' the stray dog that Annie finds in the big apple.
Our costume crew are hard at it, going through the masses of costumes from previous shows and creating fresh new ones. Great efforts all round from willing volunteers, we thank you!
"We've had so much fun over the last couple of days! Love our NOW Family!"

30th January - Working Bee went ahead at the studio which saw members of our cast and crew working on sets, costumes and props. We made a sizable dent in the much needed stage design for the show. Great fun and only a little sun burnt.
February
PHOTO TIME - Our principals got all dressed up in costume and had their make-up done for promotional photos. Take a look at the unedited photos for some fun.
Costumes Organisers
Kylie and Lynda - Our Costume Organisers have worked miracles to achieve a great feat. With help from many other volunteers (too many to name here), we thank you for all your hard work!

Cast T-Shirts
Cast T-Shirts have arrived and look amazing. The cast worked really hard for this rehearsal and our production, only one week away, is looking to be the best yet!

Production Week
Finally our production week was among us, all that hard work by the Now Family Cast and Crew will finally come to the stage. Friends and family have enjoyed their time together, forming new friends and family. A sell out performance and an amazing review from the Theatre Association of South Australia. We could not be be thankfu for the support of our Now Family and the public out there that came to enjoy our show. A message from the Director follows:
"What a show! We were overjoyed to put a show on stage finally after all the Covid restrictions and with such an overwhelming reaction from audience numbers - it was worth the concern and effort surrounding such a venture.
As mentioned in my thank yous back stage and on, we could not have done this show without the support of so many people, all of which are named on our program. But, thank you to the FOH staff, Chaperones, props/set and costumes, make-up, stage hands, Cast and Crew of Now Productions. A special thank you for cast and crew from old and future that came to support our Now Family. Your support is extremely appreciated.
Full house! How great is that?! Well done!
Thank you to...
Rob (and Jo) for all your hard work, with lighting, special effects, vocal and music man. Your passion for the kids and vision to bring their very best to the stage is always great fun to be around.
Mandy, all your hard work juggling timetables, choreography, admin and all that jazz!
Bianca (and Chris) for all your hard work, the time it takes away from your family and your commitment to our Now Family. Making our company becoming one to be reckoned with. You are the backbone to our passion.
Connor and Maisy, my kids are not only amazing performers but also hang around, help out and give their all for everything we attempt to achieve. You should be so proud of your efforts.
Kylie and Lynda, thank you so much for your hard work in organising the costumes and make up for the show. You did amazing and we are so lucky to have you work with our Now Family to bring that family connection to the crew. Well done.
Well, as we close our doors to Annie. We look ahead to Les Miserables in three weeks! Please come and support the cast with one of my all time favourite musicals and the most interactive audience show to date. Hope to see you there!
Over and out!"
